Description

This barn, located approximately 50 metres north of Crowe Hall Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a grey slate roof that is hipped to both the north and south, and features an outshot on all sides. The east side has a midstrey, with a raised gabled ventilator positioned off-centre to the north of the midstrey. There are two vertically boarded doors on each outshut, located to the north and south of the midstrey. The barn has hanging knees to the tie-beam, with at least one knee made of cast iron.
