Description
Jackdaws Ford is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed and plastered building located on the north side of The Street in Chelsworth. It features a cross wing at the west end with exposed timber framing and stands two storeys tall. The main block is partly faced in painted brick. At the east end, there is a small former shop front that projects out, with exposed timber framing above it. The building has casement windows, and on the west side, there are some original windows, one of which is blocked, featuring moulded mullions. The roof is tiled and includes a large central chimney stack. Additionally, a wing extends to the north at the east end.
