Description
Orchard House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered and colourwashed, topped with pantile roofs and has ridge and rear stacks located at the left center. The house has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a four-window range consisting of three 2-light casements and one single-light casement, with a blocked door positioned to the center right. Above, there is a 2-light dormer. On the left end, there is a lean-to and porch that serves as the main entrance. The right end has a 2-light attic casement above two small windows. At the rear, there is a later full-length outshut. Inside, large panel framing made of light scantling is visible, along with a closed central truss and a fireplace hood. There are two staircases located in the front outside corners and plank doors throughout.
