Description
Nayland Bridge, built in 1775, is located on Nayland Road in Great Horkesley. It was constructed to replace a wooden bridge donated by a local clothier named John Abell, who died in 1524. The bridge features a single brick arch, with rusticated quoins at the edges of the soffit and a keystone inscribed with the letter A. It is also known as Bell Bridge and Anchor Bridge.
