2/102 Nos 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, Royal Hospital School and attached walls to right and left

Block of 6 houses. Circa 1925-33. Buckland and Heywood. Red brick with hanging red tiles to first floor, central band. Dark red plain tiled roof with hipped forward gables to right and left, forward 2 central bays with Dutch gable, stone coping and sundial to this gable. 2 storeys. 1:5:2:5:1 window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, moulded surrounds, gauged brick arches to ground floor, right and left gables with 2-storey angled bays. 1:2:0:2:1 6-panel doors, moulded surrounds, flat canopies on brackets. Pedestrian archways with square heads central to right and left bays of main range. Elaborate Jacobean style sundial with vertical rectangular dial and metal gnomon inscribed 'Horas Non Numero Nisi Serenas'. Walls attached to right and left forward angles continue through the staff accommodation houses of the school with panelled gates and round-headed archways.
