Description

Hall Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century and later. It is constructed of red brick and features steeply pitched pantile roofs. The building has two storeys and a 1½ storey section. The two-storey range to the east is likely a remnant of a larger house, with a 4-light casement on the ground floor and a 3-light casement on the first floor, both dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. There is a large internal chimney stack on the west side, set on a moulded brick base. The east gable is parapeted and has tumbling-in, along with an internal chimney featuring a square shaft on a moulded base. The gable also has blocked first floor and attic window openings with chamfered reveals, and a 3-light ground floor casement in a reduced opening. Below the eaves on the south wall, there is a small niche with chamfered reveals.

To the west, there is a lower range with 20th century 2-light casements and segmental heads over the ground floor openings. The house has two dormers with lead-covered roofs and a parapeted west gable with an internal chimney stack. There is a single-storey hipped projection to the south, which features gauged arches over casements and a six-panelled door with a semi-circular arch and fanlight. On the north side, there are pantiled lean-tos and one dormer with a 2-light leaded casement. Additionally, there is an attached red brick garden wall at the north-east corner, which includes a row of six niches or bee boles and a brick dentil string course.
