Description
Beehive Lodge is a late 18th-century circular cottage ornée in the Gothic style, located on Ringland Lane in Costessey. The building features colourwashed brick and a thatched roof, standing two storeys high with eight bays. Two opposing bays are originally blind and articulated with four-centred arched recesses. The windows are two-centred arched with two-light frames and Y-traceried comes. The bays are defined by free-standing rough tree trunks that support the eaves. The conical roof is topped with a central octagonal chimney. Beehive Lodge was originally one of the lodges for Costessey Hall.
