Description
White House Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with remodelling and an extension from the 19th century. It features whitewashed brick and a steeply pitched pantile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of 1½ and 2 storeys.
The earlier 1½ storey lobby entrance range is located to the west and includes three 3-light casement windows with segmental heads. There are also two 2-light gabled dormers that have decorative barge boards. The central entrance porch is topped with an embattled parapet and contains an entrance door with six flush panels and a rectangular fanlight, all framed by a plain wooden surround with a rebuilt pediment. A central chimney stack is positioned along the ridge line.
To the east is a later range that features 3-light casement windows on the ground floor, also with segmental heads, and two gabled half-dormers on the east side. The south gable has a plain tiled canted bay and a central ridge stack. The gable ends are adorned with shaped barge boards.
