Description

Hall Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The building features a red brick facade that has been limewashed on the rear. It has a steeply pitched plain tile roof and is two storeys high with attics. The west elevation includes five casement windows that are irregularly spaced and have leaded glazing. There is one surviving first-floor 5-light window with chamfered mullions. A 20th-century gabled porch is located opposite the stack, featuring a semi-circular arched opening and glazed double doors.

The house has an off-centre axial stack with four diagonally set lozenge-shaped shafts and a later square shaft to the south. The gables are crow stepped, and there is a chimney stack on the north gable. The front elevation has been significantly altered and extended, featuring two 3-light casements with leaded glazing and plain corner pilasters. There are also two gabled roof dormers with 2-light casements. To the east, there is a later two-storey extension with a hipped roof and a 20th-century two-storey porch that has a stepped gable and a semi-circular arched opening for the doorway. The entrance door is half glazed and includes sidelights and an elliptical fanlight with glazing bars. Additionally, there is a lower pantiled wing at the north gable, which is 1½ storeys high and has 20th-century casements and a doorway in the south gable of the main range. An attached pantiled lean-to range is located at the southwest corner.
