Description

Quorn House is a late 18th-century brick house located on the east side of Hingham Market Place. The house has a slate hipped roof with a moulded wood eaves cornice. It is arranged with a two-storey, 2:1:2 window frontage, the central section slightly projecting and topped with a pediment. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A central porch features Tuscan columns supporting an entablature with a dentilled cornice, and it contains a doorway with panelled reveals, a semi-circular fanlight with radial bars, and a fielded panel door, approached by three moulded stone steps. To the left is a single-storey wing constructed of red brick with a gable-ended slate roof, featuring a round-headed doorway with a semi-circular fanlight incorporating radial bars and a flush panelled door.
