Description
Canterbury House is a house from the early 19th century located on Vicar Street in Wymondham. The building is constructed of rendered and colorwashed brick, with flint and brick at the rear, and features a pantiled roof that is black-glazed on the front slope. It stands two storeys high and is arranged in three bays. A half-glazed door is positioned to the right, framed by a timber case with fluted pilasters and a hood. To the left of the door are two late 19th-century horned sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three early 19th-century sash windows, also with glazing bars. The house has a timber eaves cornice beneath a gabled roof, with internal gable-end stacks at both the north and south ends. At the rear, there is a two-storey outshut featuring casements and sashes. The interior has been altered but includes two mid-19th-century chimneypieces, one made of marble and the other of timber.
