Description

The Cottage and Higdons Cottage is a 17th-century house that has been divided into two separate dwellings. It features a timber-frame construction with a rendered exterior and a thatched roof with gabled ends. The building has an off-centre brick chimney stack and another external brick stack on the west end. It stands two storeys tall with an attic, which includes windows in the gable end. The façade has three widely spaced windows fitted with modern two-light casements. There is a modern gabled porch on the right side, positioned in front of the chimney stack, and a plank door located on the left. Additionally, there is a later single-storey lean-to on the east end.
