KETTERINGHAM Right gateway turret to stable yard at Ketteringham Hall & attached range, incorporating 3 Greek marbles.

GV II*

Gate turret and range, 1899 for Sir Francis Boileau, red brick, plain tiles. Octagonal 2 storeyed gate turret with projecting embattled parapet having double sawtooth brick cornice, recessed single segmental headed lights. Turret face to south-east with Greek stela relief marble, 40 x 73cm high, probably late C2 BC from Rheneia, showing under arch with pediment over a seated woman with standing child facing a standing man. Adjacent turret face with small marble satyr's head having wide mouth ? for water spout. Forward attached single storey range with loft. Crowstepped gables, 2 segmental headed carriage doorways having between them a Greek stela relief marble 30 x 60cm high depicting a standing man and child and having below an incomplete inscription. 2 crowstepped gabled dormers.
