Description
The right gatepier to Ketteringham Hall, located approximately 40 meters north of the Church of St. Peter, is a late 19th-century stone structure. It stands about 4.5 meters high and features a square shape with a tall, crocketted pinnacle. The faces of the pier are adorned with gablets. On the front, there are stone arms depicting an ermine with two bars and a canton featuring a sword, representing the Nugent family. The rear of the gatepier displays the initials LHB, which stand for Lucy Henrietta Boileau, née Nugent. This gatepier forms a pair with the adjacent gatepier and is included for its group value.
