Description

This is a 17th-century timber-frame cottage located on Burston Hall Lane, Shimpling. The timber frame is now plastered, and the cottage is covered by a steep pantile roof with gabled ends. A brick chimney stack is positioned off-centre. The main body of the cottage is one storey high, with an attic space. It features three small casement windows dating from the 19th or 20th centuries, along with three gabled dormers. A boarded door is present, along with a lean-to addition to the north side and a single-storey wing extending from the south side.
