Description
Low Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-frame house that has been encased in red brick during the 19th century and was undergoing renovation in 1977. It features a steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, with attic windows located in the end gables. There are three widely spaced windows, which are modern three-light casements with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows are set in segmental headed openings. The doorway is positioned in front of the chimney stack. At the rear, there is a rebuilt or modern wing with twin gables. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered ceiling beams and exposed joists.
