Description
The Chain Home transmitter tower at the former RAF Stoke Holy Cross was built in 1939 and designed by Norman Garnish. This self-supporting tower has a rectangular plan and is constructed from bolted galvanised steel, anchored to four concrete foundation pads. It stands approximately 110 meters tall. The single-storey huts at the base of the tower, along with cabling, modern equipment, and the perimeter fence, are not included in the listing.
