Description
The Old Methodist Chapel is a building that was originally a barn, converted into a Methodist church and later transformed into a house in the 1970s. It is dated 1803 on the west gable and features brick construction, which is partly whitewashed, with a thatched roof.
On the south side, there is a central barn door opening that has been filled with a 4-light arched window. The north side has a central opposing barn door, which is now covered by a pantiled hood. This door is set in an outshut beneath a catslide thatched roof, with an arched window to its right and 20th-century French doors to its left, below two 20th-century first-floor casements. The building has a gabled roof and retains much of its original character on the interior, although the roof structure is not easily accessible.
