Description
Holly Cottage is a Grade II listed house, originally two houses, dating from the early 18th century. It features a partially timber-framed structure with a late 18th-century brick skin and a thatched roof. The building has one storey and a dormer attic. There is a 20th-century plank door on the left side, with a mix of ground floor windows including 19th-century casements and 20th-century sashes. The gabled roof has two dormers under the thatch, which are approximately symmetrical and contain 20th-century casements. A central ridge stack is present, and the north gable is made of colourwashed wattle and daub over timber framing. Inside, remnants of the timber frame can still be seen, featuring thin scantling.
