Description
Lodge Farmhouse is an early to mid-19th century cottage orné, featuring a small single-storey design. The building is rendered and topped with a thatched roof that has half-hipped ends. It consists of three bays, with a central projecting polygonal bay that includes a door with a blind fanlight above it. The thatch extends over the side bays, supported by rustic posts. The windows are later sashes with glazing bars and drip moulds. A central chimney stack is present, featuring two circular moulded brick shafts.
At the north end, there is a later small one-storey brick lean-to. The mid-19th century wing at the rear is constructed from knapped flint with buff-coloured brick dressings and also has a hipped thatched roof. This wing is one storey high and has three bays, with a central segmental-headed door and a ledged door, flanked by elliptical arched windows that feature casements and 4-centred arch tracery in the tympanum.
