Description

High House is a 17th-century timber-frame house that has been significantly altered in the late 19th century. The ground floor is faced with brick, while the first floor features exposed timber framing with close studding. It has a later low-pitched pantile roof with gabled ends, and the west end is plastered. The house is positioned at right angles to the road and consists of two storeys plus an attic, which includes an attic window in the gable end. The windows on the ground floor are late 19th-century sashes, and there is a late 19th-century verandah on the ground floor. The east end facing the road has a late 19th-century oriel window.
