Description
The stable block, located approximately 15 meters northwest of Yelverton Hall, dates back to the 17th century and is constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond, topped with a steeply-pitched pantile roof. The west elevation features altered openings, including an off-centre stable door and five 20th century top-hung windows set in segmental headed openings. There are also two loft doors on the first floor. The building has crow-stepped gables; the north gable includes a ball finial and 20th century door and window openings with segmental heads. The south gable has two blind first floor openings with segmental heads and a blind oculus, all of which are infilled with plaster brick and feature gault brick keys. A platband runs along the south gable. This stable block is included for its group value with Yelverton Hall.
