Description
The stable and coach house, located immediately west of Chedgrave Manor, dates back to the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped roof covered with black glazed pantiles. The building has two storeys and presents a symmetrical east facade to the courtyard, which includes a central double door opening with a segmental gauged brick arch. There are two stable doors with semicircular arched heads and fanlights, each surrounded by two semicircular headed window openings. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casement windows. The building also has brick dentil eaves and an off-centre chimney stack on the ridge line. A blocked first floor opening is present in the north wall. This structure is included for its group value with Chedgrave Manor.
