Description
No. 8, Guildhall Hill is an 18th-century former house, now used as offices and a wine bar. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high, with a semi-basement, and comprises five bays. A central door is accessed by five steps and has a rectangular fanlight, a reeded surround, an architrave, vegetal corner roundels, and a small flat hood. Sash windows with glazing bars are present throughout. The ground floor windows are set within brick flat arches. A small bracket cornice sits above the first-floor windows. Three flat-roofed dormers are visible. Fine cast-iron railings run along the basement wells.
