Description

Nos. 102 and 104 Oak Street are a late 16th-century building, originally of unknown use, and subsequently converted into flats. The building was heightened in the 18th century, and a rear range dating to the late 17th century extends from No. 104. 19th-century rear additions and alterations have also been made, with a 20th-century renovation completing the building’s history. The exterior is rendered, revealing a timber frame at first-floor level. The roof is tiled with pantiles. The building is three storeys high, with a jettied first floor. It has four windows on the second floor. A door with a plain surround is located at the extreme right, while a central doorway to No. 104 is flanked by small bay windows. A moulded fascia covers the jetty. Casement windows are throughout, topped by a fascia cornice.
