Description
No. 133 Magdalen Street is a shop that dates back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a combination of brick and timber framing, with some areas rendered. It has a pantile roof with a lateral stack. The street front includes a 20th-century wooden shop front, a 20th-century casement window above it, and a four-light 19th-century casement window above that. Inside, the first and second floors showcase complete box framing, primarily filled with brick. The main spine beams are chamfered and have label stops. Most of the visible roof timbers are from the 19th century, but accessing the roof is currently very difficult due to the building's condition. This property is included for its group value only.
