Description

A pair of houses dates from the late 19th century. The front is of yellow brick with a slate roof, a central chimney of red brick, and two gable-end stacks. The houses are two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical facade of eight first-floor windows. A four-step approach leads to panelled doors set off-centre in each house unit, flanked by plain overlaid brick pilasters and dentilled cornices. Two-storey canted end bays feature dentilled string courses and large-paned sash windows with horns and flat gauged brick arches. A modillion cornice runs along the top, above which are two flat-roofed dormers with casements. A 20th-century garage is attached to the right. The property does not appear on Morant’s Map of Norwich from 1873.
