Description

Nos. 2 and 4 Lion and Castle Yard are two former single-cell cottages, which were empty at the time of the re-survey. Originally built in the 17th century, they were refaced and altered in the 19th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick, with the right side rendered. They feature pantiles and corrugated sheet roofing. All openings in No. 2 are boarded over. No. 4 has a central door with a side window and a passage entry to the right. The first floor includes a three-light casement window with a segmental arch above it, and there is a fascia cornice present.
