Description
This is a terrace of four houses located on Earlham Road, dating from the early 19th century. The houses are built of red brick, with a rendered plinth to number 31. The roofs are slate, with concrete tiles to number 31, and feature two brick ridge chimneys and one rebuilt gable-end stack.
The terrace is two storeys in height, with eight first-floor windows and pilasters marking the ends and centre. Each house has a pair of doors within slightly projecting bays, each topped with a fanlight featuring curvilinear glazing bars. The fanlight to number 29 is missing. Number 27 has a door with six raised and fielded panels, while the others have 20th-century replacements. Most windows are large-paned sashes beneath flat gauged brick arches. Windows at numbers 25 and 31 are rendered. Number 27 has a canted two-storey bay; number 29 has 20th-century plate glass windows; and number 31 has glazing bars. A modillion cornice runs along the top of the facade.
