Description

The boundary wall of Cathedral House and the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist dates from the late 19th century to early 20th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded coping. There are three pairs of gate piers facing Earlham Road and three pairs facing Unthank Road, although the gates have been removed. Steps and a flanking wall lead up to the porch located at the north-west corner of the nave. The boundary wall extends around the west end of the Cathedral and includes a short stretch of wall to the east.
