Description

Field House is an 18th-century farmhouse. It is built with squared stucco render on a brick base, and has a black pantiled roof with some red pantiles. The house has two storeys and four bays. The ground floor has two sash windows with glazing bars; the first floor has three sash windows, also with glazing bars. A three-bay bow window with plate glass for both ground and first floor is a later addition. A porch with stuccoed piers contains a partly glazed door with margin lights. There is a wooden eaves cornice, and parapet end gables with stacks. An outshut rear extension and an enclosed north courtyard are present, with three ranges of two-storey brick service wings dating back to the 18th century.
