Description

Nos 8 and 10 on Oak Street in Fakenham are 17th century buildings with an 18th century parapeted front that has been rendered. They feature a steep black-glazed pantile roof with coped gable ends and are two storeys tall. The buildings have eight sash windows with glazing bars. The two ground floor right-hand sashes of No 8 have been recently replaced with a modern splayed shop window. There are two doorways with moulded architraves and cornices on console brackets; No 10 has a fielded panel door, while No 8's door has been replaced with a modern glazed door. The buildings also have two grey brick chimney stacks, one off centre and the other at the north end.
