Description
Nos 1 and 3 on Oak Street in Fakenham are 17th century buildings with an early 19th century stuccoed front. They feature a black-glazed pantile roof with coped gable ends, and the south end is made of flint, displaying the line of the original steep gable. The buildings have a heavy moulded eaves cornice and are two storeys high, with a symmetrical arrangement of three window bays, where the centre left bay projects and has a pediment, along with chamfered quoins and sash windows without glazing bars. The right-hand end is set back slightly. On the ground floor, there is a wide recessed modern shop on the left with a projecting fascia sign above. At the rear, there is an early to mid 19th century red brick addition. Inside, the buildings have chamfered beams.
