Description
18 Oak Street is a 18th-century former Royal Oak Inn. The building features a flint construction with a late 19th-century painted brick front. The south end is rendered, while the north end exposes the flint. It has a steep pantile roof with coped gable ends and is one storey high with an attic. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light sash windows set in segmental headed openings. The central doorway is topped with a simple pediment supported by shaped brackets, and it has a glazed door with three steps leading up to it. There are two flat-roofed dormers with casement windows. The building has end chimney stacks and a 19th-century wing at the rear.
