Description
Ivy Farmhouse is a 17th-century house located on Front Street in Binham. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressing and features a black pantile roof. It has two storeys and consists of two sections. Both the ground and first floors have five casement cross windows, which have oak mullions and transoms added in the early 20th century. The windows are arranged in bays between vertical brick quoined bands, with some blackened headers, flat aprons below, and simple flat arches above. There is a gable porch that is dated 1919. The farmhouse has brick end quoins and a brick modillion cornice. It features two stacks, with one off-centre at the north, possibly indicating the division of the two builds, and an internal quoin on the same line. The gable stack is located to the south, and the roof line was originally higher. There is also an outshut at the rear.
