Description

Grange Farm Barn is a farm barn dating from the late 17th century or the first half of the 18th century. It features brick faces on the east and west sides, with a north gable made of flint dressed with brick. The roof is covered with red pantiles. The barn has three bays, with a later addition of another three-bay barn to the south, as well as a lean-to outshut and a cart-porch on the east side. The brick quoins and flint wall on the north gable, along with clasping piers on the west, suggest that the end gable was originally part of a timber-frame structure. Inside, there are tie-beams with wall posts and struts, as well as butt-purlins and collars. The barn forms a group with Grange Farm House.
