Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick with vertical bands of black headers between openings and flint, topped with smut pantiles and red pantiles on the rear. The building has a three-cell plan with a contemporary rear stair outshut and later additions. The facade features two storeys and an attic, with five bays. There are sash windows, some with horns, set under flat rubbed brick arches. The central three bays, which are slightly set forward, have rusticated brick quoins and are the same width as the flanking bays. The central door, likely from the 19th century, has a repaired Gibbs' surround with a dentilled pediment and is flanked by an 8-light sash window on each side. The ground floor windows have moulded brick flat hoods, while the central window on the upper floor has a moulded brick lintel and moulded brick keystones on the flanking windows. The eaves cornice is adorned with moulded brick modillions, and there are three attic sashes. The gable end stacks have been rebuilt, and the gable walls and rear outshut are made of coursed flint. Inside, there are eared architraves around the door surrounds, a rear stair hall, and column balusters on the staircase.
