Description
This is a headstone for Bethuell Stimpson, dating from around 1903, located in Cromer Old Cemetery. It is made of carved stone and features plain sides that curve to a slight point at the top. At the top of the headstone, there is a relief of a small sailing boat with its sail fully unfurled. The inscription notes that Bethuell Stimpson passed away in 1902 and was the husband of Sarah Stimpson. This headstone commemorates a member of a local fishing family and showcases fine relief carving. It is part of a group that includes the listed chapel and three other listed headstones in the cemetery.
