Description
The George Harrison Monument is a headstone located in Cromer Old Cemetery, dating from around 1890. It is made of carved stone and features slightly narrowed sides with a curved top adorned with rope decoration along the curve. At the top of the headstone, there is a circular relief depicting a small sailing boat in full sail, with the mast visible. The inscription commemorates George Harrison, the husband of Mary, who passed away on 29 June 1889.
This headstone is dedicated to a member of a local fishing family and showcases fine relief carving. It is part of a group that includes the listed chapel and three other listed headstones within Cromer Cemetery.
