Description

Crossfield Farmhouse is a house with a core dating to the 17th century or earlier, incorporating details from the 18th century. It is constructed of flint walls with brick dressings, and has a black glazed pantiled roof. The ground and first floors each have three sash windows with glazing bars. A gabled brick porch was added in the 20th century. The farmhouse features brick quoins and a dentil eaves cornice. The gables are parapetted, with gault brick stacks. The west gable has two brick-dressed rectangular windows, positioned either side of the flue, and are now filled in with squared knapped flint. The rear elevation has been heightened with a course of squared knapped flint, and includes a moulded brick dentil eaves cornice.
