Description

Nos. 9 and 11, High Street, are a 17th-century building with 18th or early 19th-century window openings. The building is stuccoed and has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and overhanging eaves. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The sashes have glazing bars; the ground floor of No. 9 has a fixed-light window with glazing bars. There are three boarded doors, each with a small window above. A brick chimney stack is located off-centre and at the south end.

At the south end (left), on the corner, is a former separate cottage, originally No. 7, now incorporated into No. 9. This cottage dates to the mid-19th century and is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof and a hipped end. It is also two storeys high; the right side has sash windows with glazing, while the left side has a blind first floor and a later 19th-century three-light casement window on the ground floor. It features a central boarded door.
