Description
French's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and flint, featuring some re-used ashlar, and has a thatched roof. The building has a lobby entrance plan and a southeast facade that is two storeys high with attics. It consists of three bays and includes a two-storey gabled porch to the left of the centre. There is a 20th-century door leading into the porch, which is set under a segmental arch. The first floor has one 20th-century window, while the rest of the windows are 20th-century casements. The roof is gabled, with a rebuilt ridge stack over the porch and an internal northeast gable stack. There is a blocked mullioned window in the southwest gable. At the rear, there is a full-length outshut under a catslide roof, which is pierced with 20th-century doors and casements.
