Description

Hall Farm Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed of red brick in English bond with an asbestos roof. The building features a lobby entrance and consists of four bays, with two storeys and an attic. An off-centre axial stack has been rebuilt. The cottage has a flint plinth with a moulded brick cap, and the plinth for the fourth bay is made of brick. The lower part of the walls is built with narrow 17th-century bricks, while the upper part uses later bricks. A dentil cornice is present along the top. The windows have been altered, with various casements installed. The upper window in the fourth bay has been blocked with lathes and daub. There are two doors, each with 19th-century lead-covered canopies supported by shaped wooden brackets. The gable ends also feature flint plinths. On the right-hand gable, one window on each floor has been blocked with daub and has wooden frames and mullions beneath square brick hood moulds.
