Description
The Church of All Saints is a Grade I listed parish church located in Binham Cockthorpe. It features a west tower, nave, south aisle and porch, clerestory, and chancel. The west tower dates from around 1300. The nave has a two-bay arcade on the south side only, while the north wall is completely unpierced by either arcade or windows. The clerestory, which is from the 15th century, includes a parapet and two lions' head masks for the downpipes. The south aisle and arcade are from around 1300. The chancel has mutilated posts and a wall plate with quatrefoils, and it consists of three bays. There is a 1300 angle piscina in the south aisle, and an octagonal font from the 15th century. In the south aisle, there is a table tomb from the late Perpendicular style dedicated to Sir James Calthorpe, who died in 1615, as well as a classical wall monument from 1639 made of alabaster and marble, also honoring Sir James.
