Description
Sennowe Hall's south terrace pavilion and staircases are garden pavilions built between 1905 and 1907 by architect George Skipper. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a symmetrical terrace that includes outer stairs and a 3-bay centerpiece, which is slightly off-axis with the south front of Sennowe Hall. The centerpiece has three segmental arches with carved keystone heads, and there are piers in between that contain shell-headed niches. Above the centerpiece, there is a stone balustrade at the upper trace level. A brick retaining wall supports the structure, and to the east and west, there are two returned stairs with balusters and arches that echo the details of the centerpiece. Stone lions are positioned at the east, while lionesses are at the west.
