Description

Canisterhall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is constructed of red brick with a black glazed pantiled roof. The building features a three-bay facade that is two storeys high, with a ground floor and a first floor tripartite sash window under rubbed brick flat arches, one on either side of a central entrance bay that projects slightly from the facade. The entrance door is set in a tripartite frame with margin lights and is topped by a segmental fan-light under a rubbed brick arch. The farmhouse has an eaves cornice and a hipped roof that rises to a single central chimney stack. The rear of the building has three-bay returns and two symmetrical wings with hipped gables.
