Description

The Manor House is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings, and has a red pantiled roof. The ground floor has two tripartite casement windows, replacements from the 20th century. The first floor has a single-light casement, along with a two-light and two three-light casements. A 20th-century porch, originally with glazed openings to both the ground and first floors, has been filled in with brick and dressed mullioned windows. A brick straight joint suggests two distinct phases of building. The building features brick quoins and Dutch gables, added to the west side in the 20th century. The roof is steeply pitched, with swept eaves and gables at the off-centre and east ends. Inside, on the ground floor at the east end, there is a stopped and chamfered beam with run-out stops.
