Description
Erpingham House is an early 18th-century brick house with smut pantiles, featuring a rectangular plan and additions on either side and at the rear. The facade has five bays, is two storeys high with an attic, and includes central double doors with three panels each, framed by a surround with consoles that support a pediment. The house has sash windows with glazing bars, rusticated corner pilasters, and a wooden dentil eaves cornice with an iron gutter. There are three attic casement dormers with pediments above. The gables are shaped and have a moulded brick platband between the first and attic storeys.
To the right, there is a 19th-century extension with a first-floor bay window on brackets, and to the left, another 19th-century extension features a three-light window with stone mullions and a transom on the ground floor, along with a dormer window. The rear has various extensions that are of no special interest. Inside, one room has oak panelling that is said to have been brought from Wood Dalling Hall in 1904.
