Description
The remains of St Mary's Friary are an important historical site located on Fakenham Road in Little Walsingham. This Franciscan house was founded in 1347 and features extensive remains primarily from the 15th century. The structure is built of flint with stone dressings. Key features include the Guest House, which has walls that reach almost full height and include gable ends, as well as the walls of the Kitchen and the Little Cloister. However, very little of the church and the Great Cloister remains. The site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
