Description

Nos 2 and 4 Church Street is a late 17th-century house that was restored in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring chamfered brick quoins and a string course at floor level. The building has a steeply pitched black-glazed pantile roof with a Dutch gable end facing west. It is two storeys high and has five windows. The windows are later 19th-century three-light wood mullion casements with glazing bars, set in the original window openings. The central doorway is also from the late 19th century, showcasing brick rustication and a panelled door. At each end of the house, there are late 19th-century brick chimney stacks with shafts that have chamfered corners.
